Shangri-La Massage Therapy

In Washington State many Medical Insurance plans provide coverage and will pay for Massage Therapy.

As a courtesy, we will happily
bill your
health insurance for you; if you would like to know your coverage and benefits you will need to call and verify them yourself. Your financial responsibility is generally a copay or a percent of fee; making massage more affordable than ever.

It is outside of a Massage Practitioners scope of practice to diagnose; we are only able to treat. In order to use your insurance you will need to procure a valid Prescription or Referral from your Doctor or Chiropractor. We are required to submit the diagnosis code on all claims sent to your Insurance for payment. The prescription or referral is required at the time of service for all insurance claims. If you do not present the prescription at the time of service you will be charged our time of service fee for your visit. Once you provide the prescription we will be able to bill your insurance and you will receive a refund or credit once the claim has been processed by your insurance.

We are contracted/preferred providers (in network) for:

  • Work Injuries (L&I Claims)
  • Premera Blue Cross
  • Lifewise
  • First Choice
  • Aetna
  • Affinity discount agreements
  • United Healthcare
  • Kaiser Permanenta Options (cards with Firstchoice logo only)
  • Auto Accident Claims (PIP)
    • We no longer accept Auto claims using USAA insurance.

We are not at this time contracted/preferred providers for Cigna, Regence, or Regence Uniform. However, you may still have non contracted or out of network coverage that you can submit to be reimbursed for. You can also use your Heakth Savings Account (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) to pay for your massage treatments. We do know that Uniform and Boeing do not have out of network coverage.
